Mackeson Stout is the thickest, richest, sweetest stout I have ever had the pleasure to taste. While over whelming by the sixer, Mackeson is incredibly satisfying, a sweet treat of a beer.

This was the first stout I tried. Still a favorite when I can find it. Pours an inky blackness with a tan head. Very sweet. Aromas of milk chocolate and vanilla. Smooth creamy mouth feel. Oh so good and with low abv I can drink multiples.

Old rating. Pours an oil black with a nice big tan head. Big chocolate aromas with touches of currants, prune and slight coffee on the nose. Tastes of milk chocolate, toasted cacao nibs, malt, dark fruit and slight coffee notes are present. Sweet on the palate. Rich and creamy mouthfeel. Starts out sweet then finishes up dry.

This beer took a little while to get used to with how sweet it was. Heavy nose upfront of chocolate, dark fruit (mostly raisins) and vanilla. Pours black with a decent sized tan head. Tastes consist of more cocoa, raisins and vanilla. Body was a little light but I suppose for a sweet stout that’s what you want. Nice beer.

On tap at Brass Tap, Coral Springs with Audrie, pours s pitch black color with a nice Java head. Nose is strong molasses, licorice , malt and burnt coffee. Taste is rich molasses, malt and burnt coffee with moderate sweetness. Finish is sweet as well dry and ends on the same tasting notes. Quaff Score 7 / 10

Pours a black with a thick creamy off-white head. Nose is pretty flat with chocolate notes and some roasted malts. Creamy mouth feel. Chocolate and roasted flavors dominate on the palate accompanied by some light lactic sourness. Overall a tasty milk stout!

Bottle in Belize pours opaque black to cola brown with thick tan head Nose milk chocolate and sweet malt. Taste very light roast, milk chocolate , hint of red fruit. Mild roasty bitter finish. Not as smooth of moth feel as expected, but not bad. For Caribbean beer, this is pretty good.

Dark black pour with about a finger of tan head. Sweet chocolate and roasty aroma. Sweet but dry chocolate taste with hints of coffee and cocoa. A bit thin but still a decent beer.

Sweet chocolate and a touch fruity with light bitterness in the finish. Nice full, creamy texture. Good beer.

Nice looking brew that is overtaken by the less than pleasant aroma of sour milk. Taste is tart and lightly acidic. Misses the target.

"great roasted dry nose, similar flavors, but a little watery...otherwise it would be a very good stout. nice, long finish. worth it at trader joes for $5 a sixer, for sure."
