Bottle (330 ml). Thanks czar! Dark brown, almost black, with a medium slowly diminishing beige head and good lacing. Aroma is of chocolate, nuts, roasted malt, strong lactose presence, molasses cereals. Taste is about the same with moderate sweetness. Light body. Oily. Soft carbonation. Way overrated. Wasn’t able to finish my bottle...

Got a single from the LCBO (but comes in 6-pack), written on front label BB NOV /13. Pours a very dark colour with little red highlights. Big light brown-coloured head with great retention and some dirty lacing. Coffee aromas were released at first, but left pretty quickly, remaining with hoppy grass smell. After breathing some more, sweet caramel comes out, but all of this is very mild. The mouthfeel is between oily and creamy. The taste is pretty mild as well. Roasted malts, a little sweetness, raisins, grass and chocolate. Thankfully, this one is not too sweet, as listed in the ingredients are lactose (milk sugar), sugar and caramel. Because it is mild all-around, this one is easier to drink, but the sweetness will still, eventually get to you.

Mystery 6 pack at my local lcbo. Jet black pour, medium brown head. Rch roasty aroma, light cocoa, and touches of coffee. Silky mouth feel, soft carb. Roasty, nutty, coffee finish. Surprisingly good stout.

The beer is opaque with a near black body. The head measures two inches thick, fades slowly and leaves ample lacing in its wake. The aroma offers chocolate milk, brown bread, biscuits. Smells great. The taste delivers what the aroma promised. A superb example of the style. No bitterness or lactic presence. So smooth and creamy on the palate. Lingering chocolate breads and doughnuts, though not at all too sweet. I’ll be picking this up again.

Pours a black colour and a creamy light brown head that lasts and leaves lace all up the glass really nicely. Aroma is roasted malt, sweet cream, coffee, and bready possibly from an english base malt. Flavour is an upfront bitter roasted malts, med-high sweetness, cream, coffee, and cocoa. I think the bitterness and dark malts could blend a little better with the sweetness in this one but its still a tasty beer.

Dark malts, slightly metallic, chocolate and roasted notes in the aroma. Not overly complex. Very dark, can’t see through this one much, and a thick, long lasting mocha head. Beautiful looking. Very sweet upfront and throughout, with cocoa notes, in the middle and slight hop bitterness in the finish. A little bit of caramel in the finish too. Medium bodied and average carbonation. Pretty good but too sweet for my liking.

33cl bottle from Trinidad, dated May 2013, served in a snifter. A moderate pour yielded a huge tan head that died down rather quickly but left the glass laced. Opaque black body shows some brown on the pour Aroma: nutty roasted malts and corn; fairly rich but not complex aroma of toasted grains with milky caramel. Taste: Chocolate, medium and dark roast malt with a milky/toffee sweetness overwhelming a touch of underlying bitterness all the way to the aftertaste. A bit too sweet for me but ultimately leaving a pleasant aftertaste. Medium-full body with well-chosen medium-light carbonation. O: a bit sweet, even for a milk stout.. Good, rich dessert beer.

Bottle shared at a tasting at the Beer Market. Pours black with a nice brown head, aroma of chocolate, roasted and caramelized pecan, honey, flavor is smoked and roasty with some chocolate and caramel, medium bodied

Pours an clear black with a small brown head that dissipates into nothing. Aroma is sweet roasted malts, cream, coffee and cereal. Taste is a utter roasted malts, with a gentle sweet creamy coffee taste. Overall a nice sweet stout but a bit too much roasted malt bitterness for my liking.
