2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 AshtonMcCobb (937) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 8, 2012
On tap @ the Bayview Bistro in the Wigtown Hotel. Pours dark amber with a proportional head. The nose has toffee and dark malt. The taste has toffee and biscuits. The palate is medium bodied and there is a medium thick texture but not so refreshing on the end. Overall, this is another of the many generic keg ales found everywhere (even though this particular one is not found everywhere).

På fat på Brazen Head i Glasgow. En ganska typisk öl för sin typ. Brödig, maltig i doften, en lätt humlebeska i smaken. Inget speciellt men en helt OK bruksöl.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 Borresteijn (2762) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - NOV 3, 2010
On tap at Lomond Tavern, Falkland, Scotland. Clear amber colour, creamy off white head. Aroma of light sweet malts, nuts and some caramel. Flavour is sweet, malty, nutty, caramel, light bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. Very easy drinking.

draft at the Morag hostel bar in St. Augustus - Had to google this one as to my surprise it’s not in the database yet. It’s a Coors product apparently intended to compete with John Smith’s and Belhaven Best in the Scottish market. Anyway, it has an amber pour and has a mild aroma of hops and bready malt. It tastes sweet and light with mild bitterness. This brew is unremarkable, just a typical quaff. Not bad.
