Cask; Regular. Brewed by Belhaven for Maclay.
Wallace I.P.A. is a premium Scottish ale which is golden amber colour with a full malty flavour and a rich hoppy finish.

Cask Conditioned at The Galloway Hotel, Newton Stewart, Scotland. Pale golden colour with hadl any head. Not a great pint, thin sourish, malty flavour rather than a hoppy IPA. Very disappointing.

Cask @ 3 Judges. Dark golden colour, off-white head. Aroma of horse dung, fruity hops and malts. Flavour of horse dung, garden peas, vegetables and malts. A bit odd.

A heavy on the stomach brew, had trouble finishing it, may have been a bad bottle, Malty, nowhere close to an IPA why call it one?

Does anyone else find it odd that the Wallace ale is an IPA instead of a scots? Nevertheless, it was a pretty good one, though not great.

Deep amber with a touch of cloudiness. Smallish tight bubled light cream colored head. Aroma of sweet caramel and hop blankets. Perhaps a touch watery in the body. Very well balanced with both a pale malt flavor and a mild citrus backdrop. Finish is quite quick and unassuming. A nice light drinking (almost session like) IPA.

I like this better than most of the other raters. It may not conform completely to the IPA style, but it is a very well-balanced brew that is a real pleasure to drink. A new favorite!

the initial taste was nice and hoppy but quickly faded. Not bad as a pale ale but a good IPA should be more robust and persistently hoppy.
