Cask at C’est What - Near-clear apricot with a thin bubbly head that lingers. Light fruit and malt aroma with a faint hop presence. Flavours are mild, along with a watery body. Grainy, but smooth. A nice beer altogether, and while it’s not earth-shattering, it’s certainly something I could (and WOULD) drink lots of on the patio, or fishing by the riverside on a lazy summer Sunday...

[3428-20101025] Cask. Sweet leafy grains aroma. Slightly hazy, light orange brown body with no head. Light buttery flavour has light leafy bitterness and a long aftertaste. Medium body. Drinkable.

2010-10-25. Modest aroma, mild hops, tea like character. 6+ Flavour is similar, lightly muddled hops throughout, lightly bitter, finishes with herbaceous finish, not astringent but a touch rough. Average to light palate. Meh. On cask at Volo, Toronto

Cask at Volo. Very light feel and flavors gradually gain more weight and intensity, forming a pleasant flavor bloom of grain and grassy hops. Hazy amber.

Draught at C’Est What Spring Festival. Pours a hazy yellow-gold with a small somewhat-lasting fluffy white head. Aroma of buttery toffee (diacytl?) and floral notes. Flavour, again, of buttery toffee, slightly watery and with a bitter finish. Light bodied. Not very good.

Cask. At C’Est What Spring Fest. Hazy amber with a fluffy white head. Leafy aroma, slightly burnt, sadly "whelmed" by diacetyl. Taste is soapy, leafy and dry - but not papery or buttery. Light, flat, astringent mouthfeel, with a long, unpleasant and harsh finish / aftertaste. Not good, loses two marks for calling itself a "bitter" - I just got back from a week of real bitter in the UK: this ain’t no bitter.

Cask at Cest What?
Appearance: Hazed amber brown with good creamy white top.3+
Nose: Off, creamy , butter aroma , some tartness. Quiet and unpleasant.
Flavor/Palate : Character old black tea. Creamy tart feel. Forgettable very poorly made ale.

On tap C’est What Spring Fest 2009. Orange, small white head. Fruity, buttery aroma. Uh-oh. taste again is fruity with tons of butter.Watery body. Ok at best, but fix the butter problem, that is not good.
