Bad skuny pour at Allen’s patio on danforth. Southern Ontario skunk water on the nose. Dull wood on the tongue. This may be the pour itself. Will try elsewhere. Damn I hate this bar. They actually force you to order food.

Rusty redish pour with a lacy head. Very little scent. Very easy to drink. Very very easy to drink. That just goes down so smooth. There’s nothing outstanding here and I think that’s a good thing. This is just a good beer that goes down well. The waitress at The Black Shire recommended this at Lunch, came back at 1am to try it. She was right. What, it’s 1am? No this hasn’t affected my rating.

cask at the wooly. Amber pour, think foamy head. Aroma of malts, bread, sugar. Taste is malty sweet, a bit of a maple syrup flavour, and some hop bite although not much. Nothing earth shattering but a great session beer.

Bottle from the brewery. Bottled today. Poured light amber with thin head. Light hop aroma with not much else. A nice sharp hop bite at the beginning with smooth finish. Great beer.

Cask at Winking Judge - Dry-hopped with Fuggles. Deep amber pour with a tight white head. The aroma is softly sweet with a bit of light caramel and some herbal hoppiness as well. Smells like Fuggles or Goldings. Light and a bit fruity as well. It’s soft and quite sweet but well-balanced. Could drink a million of these.

UPDATED: FEB 18, 2011 This Pale ale poured a nice dark amber colour with a quick living, off white, rocky head. From a bottle purchased from the brewery, To the nose there are scents of caramel, coffee, roasted malts and a little smoke. First sip was smooth with a good douse of roasted flavour. Other flavours of caramel, juniper/ spruce and smoke are at the forefront. Finish is bitter with roasted caramel flavours lasting

341ml bottle purchased from brewery. Not sure if this is a new product as it was not already on this website. This is a truly great beer much better than their mediocre pilsner available at the LCBO. The aroma is very sweet smelling with no hint of skunk. An odd aroma. Caramel, chocolate and coffee hops dominate the flavour, with the perfect amount of hops bitterness. This is a delicious beer. Good Job F&M
