3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Spab (1118) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 13, 2009
On tap at the Golden Kiwi in Cambridge. Pours a slightly cloudy orange gold with small, lasting white head. Nose of earthy/floral hops and light bread. Flavour follows suit. Slight bitter finish. Decent sessionable beer.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 JesseM (918) - Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 23, 2007
UPDATED: FEB 20, 2009 Sampled at the Kitchener Craft Beer show. Pours a nice amberish colour. Not much aroma, mostly hops. The taste is a nice blend of some sharp tasty hops, and some sweet bready malts. Very enjoyable over all. BIT OF A RE-RATE: Same as above, but I swear this stuff gets exponentially better every time I have it. Such an awesome British malt body behind this one with a perfect hop presence to add amazing balance. Incredibly sessionable and probably one the best all-around OCB brews out there right now. Delicious stuff.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Crockett (916) - Steelback County, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 21, 2004
Pours light hazy amber witha thin white head. Light hop florals and faint caramel in the aroma. Definatly English in style. But the hops never really show themselves until the finish. Toasted and dry in the finish. It has all the elements, but it ended up weaker than expected.

Bottle from the brewery. Bottled today. Poured light amber with thin head. Light hop aroma with not much else. A nice sharp hop bite at the beginning with smooth finish. Great beer.

Cask @ Volo. Tastes like a subtle cider! I could not believe it... for a decent ciderness it gets a good rating. Floral with some mild hops, a LOT of malt though. Good dark gold colour as well.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 VeloVampire (616) - Parkdale, Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 8, 2006
UPDATED: APR 23, 2009 On tap at Communist’s Daughter - transparent copper colour with a small white head. Earthy aroma with some English hops. Flavours of caramel, smooth malt and some nice hop balance in the end. This particular style is sort of limiting, but it’s a pretty solid example. A very good and highly sessionable EPA, and one I’d surely try again. Update: had on cask at C’est What and it is a revelation. Supremely balanced flavours are intensified and a real earthy mineral quality shines through with a yeast character. Brilliantly hopped and my new favourite session beer. Draught got 6/3/6/3/14/3.4, Cask gets 7/4/8/3/16/3.8, we’ll split the difference. Good on draught, WONDERFUL on cask.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Slacks (615) - Bolton, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 15, 2006
Cask @ Hostex: I think I lucked out getting this one on cask at a foodservice trade show, so chalk me up as a happy camper to start off. Poured virtually head free, but with a pleasing cloudy copper colour. Aroma is subdued but I could pick out significant hops and a bit of caramel. Flavour is great! Great hopping with an awesome earthiness alongside sweet malts that hit after the hops.
