2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 unclemike (1493) - Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA - MAR 2, 2008
12oz bottle. Poured a lite blondish color not much of a head on it. Aroma is grainy with a slight hoppiness. Not much to this beer. Thank god I only got 1.

Pours a crystal clear light yellow with one finger of frothy white head that diminishes to a thin cap at the surface. The aroma is a sour graininess with a hint of plastic; light and relatively thin while being almost creamy, it actually tastes better than it smells. Sweet, grainy and malty with an almost wheaty sourness at the clean finish. This is actually a very easy drinker; nothing extraordinary but certainly better than most BMC offerings and for about the same price.

Bottle. This beer is horrible. Pours a light, very light yellow. No head whatso ever. Aroma is water and corn. Taste is water. I felt like I was drinking a bottle of water. No mouthfeel, no taste. Horrible beer.

[Bottle, thanks Bob] Pours very pale golden with a small white head. Aroma and taste are dominated by grain and adjuncts. The taste is really bad and lingers for a long time--unfortunately. Watery thin. Really pretty awful.

Originally reviewed: 4/9/09. Pours a very thin light gold with a decent finger-width head on top. This "head" disappears quicker than I can even get my nose close to smell it. Very bubbly and fizzy. No retention, no lacing. Smells of corn, sour mash, some slight lemon?
Very watery brew. I saved this for after I mowed the lawn for the first time this season, figuring it would be a thirst-quencher and not much else. It was just that. Very wet and easily consumed. Not much for flavor. Some sour corn adjuncts there. Some malt, and very little bitterness present. Decent for a lawn-mowing beer, and maybe the beach. But I most likely won’t have this again.

From a 12-ounce brown bottle, labeled "American Style Beer", no date-stamp. Pours a very clearpale straw colow with a fast-fading head. Very light body, with a very dry, rice-like flavor and grainy finish. Probably a good marco (American) light-beer clone, but not really a very bold blond ale. Endorsed by a known Bud Light drinker friend.

Horseblanket malt, corn syrup and wax candles. Not too good. Came towards the end of a tasting and did not compare to the others in the group.

Cheap-less than $8 for a 12-pack. Labeled "American style beer"-no telling what they mean by that. "Like Budweiser" I suppose. I kinda figured it wasn’t going to be good and when I poured it, I became more convinced. Pale gold color-brief small head. Almost non-existent aroma: corn and very small hint of hops. Grain and rice flavor. Crisp but a little stale with that nasty rice aftertaste. Good thing it’s cheap. Preferable to Bud though.

UPDATED: SEP 7, 2007 Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a thin white head. Very slight lacing. Aroma is grainy with a slight hoppiness to it. Flavor is light with a light malt and hoppy flavor. Maybe a hint of citrus to the finish. A drinkable beer. A nice alternative to the macro lagers.

Very light, clear, no head, no flavor, not very tasty. Sour aftertaste and I won’t purchase again.
