This is a proper alcoholic ginger beer, brewed from real ginger like Grandad used to concoct in the back shed and bring out on special occasion. Macís Ginger brew is the genuine article without so much as a single artificial flavour or colour to get in the way of unadulterated refreshment with a classic ginger kick.

Sparkling yellow colour with a white head that was temporary in duration. When it was gone, it was gone entirely but retained plentiful carbonation. The aroma is of masses of dried ginger and some bready yeast. It smells richly of the ginger beers I brewed in my youth and more recently. The flavour is firmly gingery but without being overpowering with a little residual sweetness and a soft tingly finish. A good complement to some golden rum and mint leaves. Yes, a beer suitable for mixing into cocktails. Think what you like, on itís own a bit of a novelty and a good summer refresher.
