Batch brewed under Bavarian purity laws. This is very refreshing beer. Nice flavour but very short on palate.

Difficult to undo the strange top which wasn’t a very good start. Slightly dry with a clean taste but not a lot of distinctive flavour. For some reason I had expected a more complex and interesting beer rather than the average one that I got.

UPDATED: MAY 3, 2011 Pours golden with nice amber hues. Fizzy head. Aroma is sweet and malty. Flavour has a really nice malt base with hints of bread, sweetcorn and a very light honey sweetness. A really good lager with the balance on malt and very little bitterness. Really good lager.

Bottle at home. Clear golden, white fizzy head. Slight creamy, grainy grassy lager nose. Decent lager palate with dry grassiness and a touch of nutty malt. Thin finish. I like this actually, very refreshing.

Received a 330 ml bottle from my brother who vacationed in New Zealand. Pours a clear golden light amber colored brew with a pillow-like white head that slowly dissipates to a film top. Nice spotty lacing too. Aroma of golden grain malt, some grassy hops, a touch of multi-grain cereal a hint of corn. Taste is light to medium bodied, soft carbonation with flavors of multi-grain malt, floral and a hint of grassy hops and a touch of white bread. Finish is nicely balanced between soft bitterness and multi-grain malt. Overall and very sessionable light drinking lager.

A good clean, well made lager. I like the use of the Motueka hops as it adds a different element to the beer. Would drink again.

Bottle watching NZ Vs Slovakia. Brassy gold with a soft, steady carbonation propping up a fine white collar. Better-than-pale-lager aroma with some kolsch-type Asti fruit, wet cork and honey. Chunky malt character on the palate for a 4 percenter; hints of bread and honey; dabs of melon-like fruitiness beneath. Clean and decent lager, a cut above your bog standard global swill.

Poured a good gold colour, a strong head and the original taste was malty and that was all folks.Easy going down one you can go back for more even though it did lack bitterness it was a nice drop,so pleasant. It has a slightly low alchohol content but I would not say it is a weak beer, very well made.Mushrooms came to mind as a flavourwhile I was drinking this beer.
