3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
330mL. Pours a clear straw with a giant, white, rocky head with massive sheety lace. Aroma is grassy hops, lemon, fresh flowers, tropical notes from the Nelson Sauvin, lilac. Taste is just a bit too doughy and grainy for a pils but is rich, fresh, fairly sharp, moving to full nutty to tree sappy bitter. Dry palate.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Mainstream goes craft with Mac’s Hoprocker. It pours with a fluffy, rocky head that hangs around. There’s tropical fruit, coarse grass and herbaceousness on the nose. It looks like a pilsner ought to, but the divergence is the mass of hop flavours and light maltiness. Hops, hops, hops, hops. You never see this many hops being used in something with a mainstream label and there have been occasions where I have had a couple and drifted off to sleep from the sophorific effect of the hops. It really is one of the most pleasant feelings you can have with your clothes on.

3.2 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
great aroma of citrus and pine, pours clear golden straw with a lovely frothy bright white head, strong taste of fruity passionfruit/peach, with a kick of bitterness at the end, not enough sweetness and body to back it up. overall feels like a lager trying to be a hoppy pale ale, and while i enjoyed the beer i would much rather have a pale ale to be honest.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle @ Bubbles on Cove. Clear light straw yellow with a tight white head. Floral hop aroma. Clean tasting hoppy tang with some light malt grain. Just a little on the thin side.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours gold with a quickly fading head leaving nice lacing.
Nose shows herbaceous, spicy and piney hops along with the expected passionfruit/peach from the Nelson Sauvin. Hints of white wine and woody notes also present along with a fair bit of sweet caramel.
Similar flavours (spicy, herbal hops, woody notes) but also some bready, grainy malt.
Light body, med-high carbonation fitting the style.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle @ Beerfest Asia. Pale yellow with decent head. Subtle but scrumptious Nelson hop aroma. Body is too light and a bit watery. The pure hop flower is a delight. It this had more body it would be much better!

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a crystal clear light golden with smallish white coloured head. Great hop aromas with plenty of pine resin, citrus and certainly some of those wine type aromas that come with the nelson sauvin hops. Great hop aromas. Offset somewhat by light caramel malt sweetness. Taste is very clean upfront. Some hop bitterness comes through on the finish. Unfortunately flavours dont really match the aroma. Nice easy to drink beer all the same.
