2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
330ml bottle. Medium clear straw hue, thin white diminishing bubbly head, some lacing. Faint aromas of bitter apple tannins, pear, paper, honey. Light-moderate sweet medium sour/tart flavour. Medium body, dry texture, well carbonated, long dry finish. Drier and crisper than the apple version. In an after-work drinks tasting session we all agreed this was overall a bit below average.

The body is light. It smells, sweet, fruity, pear, sugary. The taste is sweet, sugary, mild, boring, bit most.

Very pale white gold. Pear drops and sherbert on the nose. Dry Williams pears at first, followed by a burst of sweetness and a medium-dry finish. slightly too much carbonation to be enjoyable.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Pale yellow colour with no head.Small carbonation. Sweet pear flavour. Flavour reminds me of the wine coolers from the 80’s. Short sweet mouthfeel.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours thin and bright, pale in colour with a definite greenish fruit juice tinge. It gains more points than its sister cider because of lush perfumy characters of pears (obviously) and lemon and lime jelly.
Full mouth-feel and sweet fruity flavour. Not mature and lush like a ripe pear but young and playful. Not a cider that is likely to get you into trouble or make you fall asleep, but ideal with fish & chips. Pleasant enough.
