COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rich, amber hue and full-bodied flavor begin with roasted, domestic caramel malt. It’s sweetness is then tempered with genuine Cascade hops, which are added again at the end of the boil for a distinctive, citric-floral aroma.

A nice amber. Light, caramel taste up front with a light hop taste on the end. Refreshing.

Citrusy flavor. A spicy hop finish. A little thin though.

Interesting amber ale. Hint of fruity aftertaste with a smooth hops flavor.

Deep amber in color. Slightly citrusy in flavor. Smoothly drinkable for this style, which I don’t find all that smooth in general. Pretty decent beer.

UPDATED: OCT 2, 2003 Good Pacific Northwest amber ale, but Full Sail is still the best of the style. Aparently, this has won alot of awards, so it must be good(i think it is)

Could taste the carmel. I like this one. It is rich and smooth, not overpowering or too weak. A decent beer with a solid construction. I think they accomplished what they set out to do.

Bottom line...pretty good beer. Seems a bit more bland than I had expected... Maybe because I had 4 beers prior to tasting this one. I do like the nose. There is a distinct malt flavor in this clear amber beer. I will admit..it left more lace in my glass than I have seen in some time.

Very good beer, drink with a steak or something meaty. Not the best aftertaste though. I hate that it is related to the Black Watch beer.
