Mar 30, 2008 Thanks to Aaron for this one. Dark brown body. Aroma is a sweet caramel and chocolate. Flavor is similar while the bourbon is hardly noticeable. Fairly thin bodied.

Mar 23, 2008 22oz bottle, courtesy of argo0, carefully funneled into a pale ale bottle to enhance my enjoyment. Thanks, Aaron! Pours a very dark cola color; thin off-white head. Dried dark fruits and caramel and sticky malts in the aroma. Medium mouthfeel: sticky dried fruits and caramel; toasty malts; relaxed carbonation; chewy, with some chocolate and caramel. Medium finish: bready, doughy malts and some lingering caramel.

Mar 22, 2008 Courtesy of argo0. Dark brown body with a medium sized beige head. The nose is chocolate, very light bourbon, light molasses and some toffee. The flavor is lightly sweet with milk chocolate, light cola and brown sugar. Medium body is thinnish with light carbonation.

Feb 16, 2008 Thanks to Tom Bleigh at Pyramid for sharing this wonderful beer. From a 22-oz. bottle--Poured a deep brown-black body with a fluffy creamy blanket head. Nose of robust bourbon and tannins. Chocolate and coffee flavors evident. Sweet, semi-dry, and creamy mouth feel. Finish reminded me of cookies and cream. Buttery oak vanilla and cacao complexity. This beer survived three years and is still unbelievably delicious. MacTarnahans needs to start making this one again!

Thanks to DrunkAsASkunk for bringing this one to me so long ago.
Huge tan head supported by a black brew.
Vanilla, bourbon with some chocolate/coffee notes as well.
Good bourbon aged Porter but a strong sourness has gotten into this that totally detracts from all of the good things. I suspect this one has gone south.
