Headbanger (1001), Aurora, Illinois, USA Jul 16, 2008 22oz bottle-A nice amber body with a small ring for ahead. Aroam of citrus, hops, and malt. Taste of hops, malt, bitterness, and dryness on the back end. Overall this medium bodied brew is an ok Pale Ale.
nqualls (422), Tennessee, USA Sep 27, 2008 Bottle. Poured a clear gold/amber with a small white head. Aroma of earth and malt. Flavor was better, with a good balance of malt and hops. Body was light, especially for 6.2% ABV. Wulfstan (481), California, USA Sep 23, 2008 This is fairly nice, with some good balance and a light English quality to it.
It is amber, with a thin, off-white head shrinking to a ring and leaving no real lace. The smell is pleasant, rather english, but mild, leafy a hint earthy, with some bread, hints of stewed plums and butterscotch. The taste is not great but it’s nice. It’s smooth, weasy to drink, yet still tasty and balanced with a good feel. It’s leafy with some butterscotch, bread, citrus. It’s not great with crackers. Gooney (39), Oregon, USA Sep 6, 2008 On tap at the brewery - This beer was quite disappointing to me. Didn’t smell like much. Didn’t taste like much. Tasted very light considering the 6.2% ABV. Not much character. This may be a good beer to use to introduce Budweiser drinkers to microbrews. nearbeer (1330), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Sep 3, 2008 12 oz, bb 10-25-08. Clear amber with a small soapy ring of foam and spotty lace. Aroma of caramel, apple and a dash of barber tonic. Flavors of honey and lightly peppery spice, caramel apple and slight wood. Light-medium body is lightly tingly with carbonation and sorta dryish. The_Captain (331), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 2, 2008 Orange amber looking pour with minimal fizzy head. A floral grassy aroma with a citrus air that carries into the palate. A hops dryness towards the finish with a lingering slight bitterness. Meh, didn’t like this one really.
