COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A surprisingly sublime Belgian-style triple offering an electrifying blend of spicy aromatics balanced with a lively malt palate that is so good it’s scary.

I don’t get it--alcohol is a depressant, right? So it should cause just the opposite of spine tingling--sort of a nerve suppressant effect. Oh well. My brother-in-law opened this for Christmas Eve dinner 2012. Fruity nose with a gentle yeast. Subdued flavors but in the general tripel vein of things. Moderate palate, not a tongue tingler. Average to slightly below average tripel. Bottle.

Bomber from BevMo. Hazy golden in color with a hint of orange. Slightly sweet yeasty nose with some grain and a hint of sour. Pretty sweet up front, giving way to more sweetness. Some yeast and a hint of bitter grain. Finish is somewhat sweet as well. Not a real good tripel.

Good sized bright white head of rather fine bubbles. Lemony citrus aroma with some cereal grains, wheat and sweet malts. Color is a hazy golden orange. Flavor is sweet malts, more cereal grains, some dry flowers and lemon grass. Bit of a zippy effervescence in the mouth. Mostly malt palate with some light dry hops presence. Finishes malty and a tad dry with a light lingering bitterness. A pretty good brew and a steal at $0.99 a bomber. Wish I would have gotten more!

Pours light gold and clear with a thick white head. Aroma is cloves and banana with some "yeasty" bread. Taste is slightly lemony with some clove. The beer has an initial peppery bitter bite, but smooths out nicely and it’s all done Belgian style. Although not super complex, it is refreshing.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Bomber. Slightly hazy golden pour with a white head. Bright lemon and citrus fruit tang. Some yeast flavor. Decent weight to the palate.

Bottle...99¢ at Sam's Quik Shop in Durham! Cloudy golden straw color with foamy white head. Smells of hay, dough, lemons, bananas, and a spicy pepperiness. Seriously all same tastes hay and dough up front leading into strong banana and pepperiness in end. Light to medium mouthfeel with a "tingle" from the pepper. Not bad overall but a little too much going on at once in a style that I don't tend to love. But pretty great for 99¢ 22oz. bottle! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Good overal. Great lacing at 55 degrees. Subdued flavors all around but still good on a cool fall evening.
