3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Rated on 5-18-2013 (Bottle) The appearance of this beer is a large semi-fizzy white head that mostly diminishes, hazy pale yellow body, fast rising carbonation, and one ring of lacing. The aroma is wheat, malt, hops, sweet, fruity, and spicy. The flavor is spicy, sweet, fruity, malt, and spice. The mouthfeel of this beer is moderate carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. I find this beer to be very quaffable and worth trying. The aromas and flavors come together very well. This is a beer I would drink again.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 ounce bottle into chalice, no bottle dating. Pours fairly crystal clear golden amber color with a 1 finger dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of apricot, lemon, pear, apple, light banana, clove, pepper, herbal, grass, candi sugar, bread, light bubblegum, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of big apricot, lemon, pear, apple, light banana, clove, pepper, candi sugar, bread, herbal, grass, light bubblegum, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Good amount of earthy yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of apricot, lemon, pear, apple, light banana, clove, pepper, herbal, grass, candi sugar, bread, light bubblegum, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Fairly dry after the finish. Damn nice complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly bready mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent tripel! All around great complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
From a 22 oz. bottle, pours golden orange with a slight white head that is quickly gone and slight lacing. Aroma of apricot, honey, banana, and dough. Flavor is sweet and spicy with a medium tartness and light bitterness. Maybe a little too heavy on the coriander, but still pretty nice. It is rather light and refreshing for 8.5% abv, and easy to drink. Doesn’t have the complex flavor of a real Belgian tripel.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
650ml bottle served in a Belgian snifter.
Pour is hazy and golden with a good head and very good lacing.
Aroma: mildly fruity and lightly spicy with a substantial light grain base.
Flavor: moderately fruity with hints of banana and clove, and a less obvious presence of light malts.
Feel: lively but appropriate carbonation; medium body.
O: fine American version of this Belgian style.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
I’ve seen this at stores for awhile. Never considered spending the money for this till BOTW had it marked down to $3.98. Sat in my basement for a 1/2 year then. wow, suprisingly lively still. Pours a cloudy yellow color with a white head. Smell is malty and sour. Taste is full and sour. Not a hint of alcohol considering the high ABV.(very warming) A decent Belgian ale.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
From the disco’d rack at Heinen’s - $3.99. Golden orange with chill haze and ring. (Not my best glass). Spicy herbal hop yeast aroma with some ripe orange underneath. Orange mango sweet fruitiness with drying herbal spicy finish. More importantly, it’s not a gooey mess like most American triples. Nicely attenuated to give medium light body and fine carbonation for decently soft mouthfeel. Actually, surprisingly, really fucking good for an American Triple. Wish it was fresher, but I did get it of the disco’d shelf.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
650ml bomber bottle pours a clear golden color with a small white head that leaves some spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is banana and cloves with some yeasty notes. Taste is a banana fruit and light malty sweetness with some hints of clove spice and a spicy hop bitterness and a dry yeasty finish. A decent brew, but not up to par with the better Belgian tripels. Not recommended.
