This robust, festive brew is inspired by the crisp autumn season and the great Oktoberfest tradition. An authentic German style Märzen, Uncle Otto’s delivers rich, malty flavor with complex overtones of a half-dozen select malts and Mt. Hood and Saaz Hops. True to the Bavarian original, Uncle Otto’s lagers slowly for two full months, making it exceptionally smooth drinking. Available August through October, Uncle Otto’s animated flavor makes the blustery fall days of leaf raking come alive.

Malty aroma but the flavor is just a little sweet without much malt flavor also lacks the bread flavors that I like in this style. I like the hop profile, not bad really but not a favorite.

Tasty and exactly the right amount of sweetness. Wonderful amber hue and complex flavor, but a little lighter than I wanted.

Slightly fruity gummy bears flavor. Amber brown with a thick tan head. Complex malt flavor accentuated by spicy hops (must be the Saaz). However, the alcohol is quite prominent. A little thin.

surprisingly fruity, 3/4 body(not quite full not quite weak) great malty mouthfeel, I thought this was solid and the 50 cents price difference was a nice break

Tinny aftertaste, initial burst of carbonation tapers to leave a creamy, if temporary head. I prefer GB’s Marzen (when on sale) to this.

Somewhat full bodied for this style, I think. Hints of sweetness throughout. A little too carbonated for my taste, lots of bubbles. Standard beer.

Nice copper color. Medium, thin head. Standard caramelly aroma. Nice flavor, but certainly not the best of its class.

Tap @ brewery. Reddish-brown with a light brown head. Malty with some chocolate aroma. Heavy malt body but none of the spice I like in Oktoberfest beers. Sticky sweet.

Strong and clean malty aroma. Lightly caramelly with only a hint of toffee or cookies. Dark amber color, large head with OK retention and light lacing. Quite sweet but with sufficient hopping - almost too bitter in the finish. Also a hint of smokiness in the finish. Probably a bit too much caramel malt flavor and not enough Munich malt.
