COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Inspired by the classic Dubbels of Belgium Mad Abbot Dubbel is rich and luxurious. This is a dark brown, moderately strong, fruity ale with warming alcohol and bitter chocolate notes.

Pours murky red/brown, thin lasting off white head, malty aroma with a hint of hops thrown in. Warming flavours with a smooth finish, I like it. A great beer for a cold night.

Really enjoyable beverage just on room temperature on a winters day. Nice Abv gives way to a nice warmth and the caramel and rasin flavors also add a nice warmth and flavor to the beer that went down extremly well chilling out on a cold day.

Bottled, thanks SaintMatty! Hazy orange-brown, small head. Aroama of salted caramel and marzipan. Medium bodied with rounded moutghfeel. A bit spicy with restrained marzipan flavour and salty bitterness. Solid, but with rather shy flavours.

Bottle (tasting at Omhper´s) A clear ruby colour with a small beige head. An aroma of malt, and caramel. The taste is heavy sweet. A medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation and a medium long duration.

Bottle at Omhper’s - Brown with red tinges. Raisins, blackcurrant and spice in the aroma. Fruity, spicy and slightly tangy taste. Quite rich with notes of fruitcake and raisins.

Pours dark brown with a large, lasting head. NBose shows caramel, chocolate and bready malt along with an off-putting doughy yeast character. Similar chocolate malt as a flavour and lots of it. The doughy yeast also carries through, alongside some hot alcohol and a roasty finish. Carbonation is much too high. A pretty unorthodox dubbel. A bit rough round the edges though unfortunately.
