On tap at Biero. Masterpiece. Aromas of apricot, with a touch of caramel; nuts, bread, and alcohol. Taste is sweet and dry, slightly peppery, with great length. Palate is creamy, and full bodied. Orange, with a persistent head.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 Pyobon (728) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - JAN 31, 2012
(bottle) Poured hazy golden with some off-white head. Rich fruit and caramel / toffee aroma with lovely floral hints. Full bodied, even oily with plenty of fine carbonation. Flavour is sweet malt / toffee and rich fruitiness at start which develops some peppery spiciness and the high alcohol starts to show through. A good long finish with some slight and pleasant bitterness. Overall an excellent strong Belgian style beer.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 mickmac (481) - Ngunnawal, AUSTRALIA - MAR 20, 2011
Bottle. Hazy gold body with a large off-white foamy head. Moderate to highly carbonated. Aroma of banana, coriander seed, cloves. Taste-sweet, bread-biscuit, dry spices, banana-a touch of bitterness at the end of the finish. Medium bodied. An estery example of the style and doesn’t have the bitter backbone of some triples, but excellent, I really enjoyed it.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 SorenE (168) - , NEW ZEALAND - MAR 23, 2010
fizzy golden, no head retention. first smell of this didn’t seem promising in my nostrils, dominated by spicy phenols, I prefer my tripels more dominated by fruity esters. the taste was really good though, mainly fruity and perfect balance of sweet flavours with a dry palate. going back to the aroma it ’fruitens up’ while its warming up. alcohol is certainly there but it is not head ache inducing. quite tasty! Cheer to nate2g for the bottle

Bottle. Pours hazy golden with a frothy white head that slowly collapsed, Some light sediment evident in the glass. Nose of spice, orange, stonefruit, vanilla and banana...quite an appealing mix. The flavour is pleasant and mirrors the aroma nicely. A nice lingering fruitiness in the finish. Softly carbonated. Hides the abv extremely well. It’s well attenuated and a refreshingly tasty tripel...well done LBC.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jonno (2001) - JAPAN - FEB 5, 2010
Colour me surprised. Nice fruity nose.In the mouth it is quite viscous with a fair bit of fruit prevalent and a tangy quality to it in the finish. Reasonably authentic. If you are a tripel fan i would seek this out.
