Draft. Poured clear dark black color with an average frothy tan head that lasted and produced excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy complex toasted malt & earthy hop aroma. Medium to abundant body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy toasted bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer.

tap - Pours very dark brown and smells of dark roast malt and hops with a hint of citrus. The taste is similar with mild to moderate bitterness. It’s medium bodied and goes down easy. Pretty solid.

On Tap at Brewpub. Pours a dark brown, nearly black with smallish tan head. Interesting ripe fruit to ripe citrus aroma, sweet malt present as well. Taste is also a ripe, sweeter ctirus/fruit. Roast malt coming thru as well. Very smooth, only the slightest hop presence. Reminiscent of a porter/sweet stout. Not sure how it rates for the style, but a very enjoyable American IPA!

Draft at brewery. Sweet strong butterscotch / diacetyl aroma. Deep mahogany with a small beige head, creamy lacing. Roasty ashy malt, buttery caramel, and light bitter hops flavor. Light body, flat carbonation. Very malt forward with a diacetyl flaw, and hops are very minimal. Not the greatest example of the style.
