3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Mad Anthony B.C. on 8-24-2011. This beer poured a very small tan head, one ring of lacing, mostly transparent with a slight haziness, and an orange-brown hue. The aroma has some hints of caramel, very buttery, a lot of toffee, and semi-sweet. Ditto for the flavor although I did not get any caramel. The mouthfeel is slightly tingly and this is a light-medium bodied beer. Overall, the toffee and buttery aspects of this beer are upfront in the aroma and flavor. This is a very, very mild beer to drink.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
tap at the brewpub - Pours a medium brown color and has a big caramel aroma. The flavor is of sweet caramel and is tasty though the light body is kind of watery. The sweetness carries right through to the finish.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Small frothy head that fades into a foamy one. Mostly lasting and tan in color. The body is a transparent brown with soft finely sized carbonation. The aroma is nutty and brown malt. The palate is medium in tingliness and lasts a long time. The flavor contains mild brown malts and tingly hops on the tongue. Overall it is a nice quaffable brew, but I’d still like the flavor to be stronger.
