3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle from Armanetti’s. Pours a mostly clear, amber-gold colored body with some particulate floating around. Big, over-carbonated, very foamy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a solid lacing. Aroma is big herbal hops with a light citrusy pine resin, a moderate caramel backing with some crystal, and a good amount of orange floral fruits. Flavor is citrus up front with a nice caramel backing before lots of orange florals come in as well as a decent piney, slightly resiny hopping. Some spiciness from the herbal hops comes on towards the end as this finishes dry and balanced with a light sweetness and moderate, piney, somewhat resiny bitterness. Lengthy aftertaste following a light-medium body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, not a bad IPA. Well hopped with a nice mixture of orange florals, piney citruses, and slightly spicy herbal hops balanced with a nice caramel. Easy drinking and enjoyable.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Date: January 17, 2012 Mode: Bottle Source: Crown Liqour Description: Translucent but slightly cloudy orangish brown pour with minimal head that faded almost immediately. Aroma was citrus, pine and some caramel / malt. Taste was fairly similar to aroma with a mild bitter finish. First brew from Mad Anthony so that was cool, but this one was just okay.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy ambergrist color with a small persistent head and lace that slides back into the drink. Taste of caramel malt carries through only to be temporarily punctured by a clean pine hop bitterness. As quickly as it pushes through, the hop bitter retreats, leaving a nice malty finish. A surprisingly solid brew, one of the best IPAs I have had the pleasure of sampling.

Weed, doughnuts, tastes like a stoner made this beer. Not real that great of a beer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
hazy copper, thin off white head, respectably lacy. nose of malt and citric hops. flavor is malt offset by a mild citrusy hop presence. medium bodied, mildly bitter finish. a decent ipa, but a bit too mild for my palate. not that i wouldn’t drink another if given the opportunity.

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
bottle... dark orange with a thick tan head, very creamy at first but then fades really fast... the nose is all malt, oranges with sugar cookie, doughy, ok... the taste is not successful, the malt build and cookie quality are off mixed with old stale hops that are biting... pass on this one

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle. pours amber gold with a small frothy white head. Aroma is a bit of sweet caramel and of course some piney hops,a touch citric though and spicy. flavor starts with that sweet sugary note, picking up some hop citric and herbal note. Finishes with an aggressive bitterness. Medium body and a sharp carbonation. Eh okay, standard meh ipa

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
When I smelled this beer, I thought, "Wow, this really smells like grapefruit." Then, when I tasted it, I thought, "WOW! This REALLY tastes like grapefruit." The thing is, I hate grapefruit, but really enjoyed this beer. There’s a sweetness in that really evens it out - kind of like putting sugar on a grapefruit. Mad Anthony’s take on the IPA is quite different than most. It doesn’t have that overbearing aftertaste that some IPAs can have. Like most Mad Anthony’s, this one goes down smooth, smooth, smooth. Nothing exceptional to note about the color or pour, but this is an IPA and it tastes great. I’d like to sit out on the porch with this one during the summer because drinking it indoors on a bitter winter doesn’t do it justice.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tasted 8/19/10. 12oz bottle. Hazy with a lively body and a rusty amber hue. Moldy white head. Typical citrus aromatics. Medium bodied with a solid toasty malt backbone. Hoppy flavors of orange candy and grapefruit. Good balance and a good body. Very sessionable. I’d drink more!
