LtJudge (416), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA Jul 1, 2009 Pours a golden yellow color with a small head. Great aromas of citrus and pinewith some malt backing. Fantastic piney hop flavor that is backed by citrus.A little thin on the body, but the flavor makes up for it. Sparky27 (1387), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Jun 3, 2009 Bottle courtesy of cmr1517. Pours a hazy iced tea amber with a 2 finger dense off-white head that results in delicate lacing. The nose is ripe citrus and malt. The taste is caramel, ripe citrus and some tart grapefruit in the finish. Solid IPA – thanks Chris! JaBier (797), Capital City, Ohio, USA Jun 1, 2009 Bottle shared by Dogbrick. Clear orange/copper color with a thin white head. Citrusy and spicy hop aroma (simcoe?) with a just a bit of malt. Flavor is about the same. Not bad. Dogbrick (2645), Columbus, Ohio, USA May 24, 2009 Pours a lightly cloudy copper-amber color with a medium thin off-white head that dissipates steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Piney hops aroma with touches of grapefruit and malt. Medium body with moderately bitter hops, pine and malt flavors with citrus in the background. The finish is hoppy with a lingering bitterness. Straightforward and enjoyable IPA overall. ben4321 (562), Rockville, Maryland, USA May 15, 2009 Location: 12 oz bottle from Sahara Mart (Bloomington, IN), 5/15/09
Part of the totally and completely made up"The Geororodanda Beer Sampling Party"
Aroma: Nice orangy, floral hops, some lemon, honey
Appearance: Cloudy orange color
Flavor: Citrus hops are the main taste here, nice west coast IPA flavor
Palate: Medium body, a little soapy, crisp flavor
Overall Impression:
A really nice IPA, some good West Coast IPA flavors, it’s a nice beer for a hop fans. jimmay (116), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada Feb 17, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours copper in colour. Aroma has faint hint of amonia. Nice reasonable hop taste. Very fine carbonation, almost flat. Rastacouere (5515), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jan 25, 2009 Clear amber brew with a large white head. A clean and slightly bready malt base accompanies the orangey, tea-like American hoppiness. Quite a typical IPA, not venturing out of the path created by its predecessors, but staying clean with gentle acidity and fresh juicy citrus flavours. Sometimes, this is what you want, but the concurrence is heavy in that department, so clearly, this is aimed at the local market and depends greatly on its pricing.
adamlangolf (21), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA Oct 29, 2008 This is the most underrated IPA on the market. I buy, sell and try beer every week. I just had a IPA tasting at my house with 11 IPA’s last night and this one came in 3rd place overall. I placed it in 2nd with Founders Harvest at #1 and Bell’s Two Hearted at # 3. The tasting included Harvest Ale, Two Hearted, MA IPA, Lakefront, Victory, Stone, Boulder Beer, Great Divide, Dogfish Head, Great Lakes and Barley Island.
