16oz - tap at brewery - Aroma is roasty chocolate malt, coffee, and cream. Pours black with a small brown head and great lacing. Flavor matches aroma with emphasis on the roastiness and coffee. Palate is smooth and creamy the way I like my porters to be. A nice tasty brew.

Tap at the brewpub - mild malt and coffee aroma, long lasting head with nice lacing. Mildly roasted malts and coffee dominate the flavor. Palate is fairly smooth with moderate carbonation. It’s not on the caliber of MA’s bourbon barrel porter, but still this is very nice porter. They’ve got the style and variations down very well.

Draft @ MABC: Pours a jet black with some mahogany around the edges and a medium-sized tan head. Immediately the coffee hits upon the glass arriving, notes of dark malts and an underlying bitter dark chocolate come in to the fold but this is mainly all about the coffee. Medium-full bodied mouth feel, perfectly carbonated. Flavor is all dark malts and coffee with some subtle chocolate flavors lingering. Good stuff and another solid brew from MABC.

I could drink this for my morning jo. Pours dark with tan lacing and a fine head. Roasted espresso bean aroma and flavor predominate. Finishes clean with lingering coffee notes. Little in way of hop notes. Not bad.

Growler. Black pour with off-white head. Coffee, chocolate and roasted malt aromas. Chalky, mildly bitter chocolate and coffee flavors. Medium mouthfeel. Dry chocolate finish.

Draft at Warsaw location. Poured dark brown color with an average fizzy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate roasted coffee and chocolate aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture. Medium roasted dark chocolate bittersweet flavor with a medium sweetbitter finish of moderate duration. My expectations were met.

On tap at Mad Anthony’s Octobeer Fest. Dark beer with mahagony hues around the edges. Beige ring of a head. Very sharp coffee nose. Flavors of espresso coffee grounds, cigarette butts and licorice. The beer it overpowered by the coffee, but still pretty good.

On tap at Mad Anthony and served in a shaker. This beer poured a dark brown with a thick, creamy tan head that quickly settled. A decent amount of lacing was left around the glass. The aroma of the beer was made up of strong coffee notes and a bit of chocolate. The flavor was dominated by rich, strong coffee with a touch of chocolate and vanilla. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and just a tad thin with a moderate amount of carbonation. An easy drinking porter with a nice coffee flavor.
