Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. Malts are dominant with a dry finish. Little to no hops present. Flavor and nose are malty with a little grassy. Decent Marzen.

Tap at Warsaw brewpub. Sweet caramel malt aroma. Golden yellow color with minimal head. Sweet caramel, sour milk and light pepper flavor. Fuller body than the average Maerzen.

Sample from a growler courtesy of a traveling colleague. This brew is a clear pale golden color with a medium thin and fizzy off-white head that dissipates quickly. Stringy lacing on the glass. Toasted malt and a bit of spice in the nose. Light body with flavors of bready malt and caramel, as well as touches of spiced hops. The finish is short and malty. Overall a basic Oktoberfest that I probably wouldn’t bother with again.

draft - Porus copper with a thin head and a light malt aroma. The flavor is malty with some light hops and a too thin body. The finish is sweet and smooth.

half pint at MA - Aroma is pure malt, fresh and toasty with some toffee. Pours clear orange with small head and decent lacing. Flavor matches aroma with a stronger toastines. Palate lingers but thats about it. Not bad but boring.

Draft at Mad Anthony. Medium brown color with a moderate frothy off-white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Moderate aroma. Medium sweet malt flavor with a good sweet finish.

Ft wayne pubcrawl '03 (did I mention the gyro at Munchies??--better than the beer--- rategyro.com) Looked great with good head; Malty aroma with a decent yet unevetful taste and moldy finish.

Pale copper in color from the tap with a fluffy tan head. Sweet grain nose. Malt sweetness with tangy notes of fruit that has expired. Almost an orange liquer sense to it. Lively on the tongue. My favorite of the night, but still a strikingly average beer.

A golden-copper Oktoberfest. Very light, malty aroma. Flavor of sweet malts and perhaps some light fruit. Again, very thin-bodied, a theme consistent among Mad Anthony beers. Not too bad though.
