Draft at MABC. Clear amber color with medium white head that diminshed slowly. Medium hop and citrus aroma. Light to medium body. Well balanced medium flavor with a small bitter finish. Above average brew.

Bottle... Clear light amber ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. Great retention. Fruity, earthy hops with black tea, kiwi fruit and light oak in the nose. Perfectly balanced flavor with moderate sweetness and bitterness and a touch of tropical fruit. Medium-bodied with a sawdust mouthfeel and prickly carbonation. Finishes fruity and dry. A big SHOUT goes out to MI2CA for sending the bottle my way!

hopdog (7652) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 5, 2006
12oz bottle acquired in trade with atpayne (thanks!). This one initially poured all head. Eventually settled down to a medium amber color. Aromas of grapefruit, wet grass, caramel, and a little on the floral side. Tastes of caramel, grapefruit and floral. I expected it to be over carbonated with the way this one was pouring, but it wasn’t.

Bottle poured a clear amber with a large lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness, light grapefruit and light pine. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a watery finish. Flavors of carmel, earthiness, lighty citrus and a hint of pine with a smooth lightly bitter finish.

CaptainCougar (7093) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - OCT 27, 2004
Pours a clear dark copper bronze with a half inch thick off-white head. Aroma is fresh and hoppy, much as an APA should be, but not as intense as I prefer. Body has a subtle dry caramel malty presence and bittering hop flavor. Finishes crisp and dry with a touch of grapefruit. A decent APA, thanks atpayne!

Pours slightly turbid amber/straw colored. Nice aroma of hops, resin, pine, and some earthy aroma. Tastes of hops, pine, peat, and chardonnay. Nice complexity finishing with some hops, resin, slight fruit, pine, and earthy peat. A nice beer. Thanks to atpayne for this one.

Bottle courtesy of queenholly. Thanks! Pours a fairly hazy amber color with a thin tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of woody, earthy hops with caramel malts and a bit of apple. The taste is herbal, woody hops, some citrus, caramel malts and a dry finish. Medium bodied, slight lingering bitterness. Decent APA.
