draft at the brewpub - According to the brewpub, a number of breweries in the region are going to make their own versions of "Replicale" where they start with the same malt base and do their own twist on it. The Mad Anthony version pours clear light amber with a one finger head that leaves some lacing. It has a very mild malt aroma. The flavor combines caramel malt and mild hops in a nicely balanced, easy drinking session ale. It’s a touch thin but overall an enjoyable quaff.

On draft from the brewpub in Fort Wayne, Indiana this pour was a golden color with a small fizzy white head and almost no lacing even when swirled in the glass. Nose of light caramel malts with some chocolate hints. Mouthfeel was surprisingly rich and smooth and flavor was nicely balanced malts and hops. Finish was slightly bitter. I agree with the previous rater in that the only thing wrong was here is that this was just a little too bland. if the flavors were just a little more intense this would excellent ,but as a result it only ranks as a little above average.

UPDATED: AUG 17, 2010 This draft brew from the brewery poured a very small sized head of frothy off-white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a transparent typically carbonated light copper brown colored body and a fair lacing. The nice aroma was brown malt and chocolate. The semi-thick mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of malt and mild brown malt. A decent one, but not one that I would consider buying again. The thin flavor needed more. It was semi tasty, but there was not enough of it. Increasing the quantity of ingredients to strengthen it would have helped a lot.

Draft at MABC. Small head that mostly diminished, very little lacing, very little carbonation, transparent, and a golden hue with an orange tint. Nose was lightly malty, hints of caramel and chocolate, and sweet. Flavor was sweet, lightly bitter, malty and a hint of chocolate. Mouthfeel was smooth and light in body. Would be even tastier if it were somewhat stronger tasting.
