argo0 (5871), Washington DC, USA Jan 27, 2008 (12oz bottle, thanks kmweaver) Medium off-white head topped by cloudy amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, Belgian yeast, Bret-lemon sourness, some wheat. Taste is mild sweet, Bret, lemon, some floral, wheat, yeast. Dry light body, light acidity, fairly smooth. Unusual, and quite enjoyable. acrdz (3892), Pennsylvania, USA Jan 30, 2008 12oz bottle shared by kmweaver. So this is a wheat lager made with a Belgian yeast - at least it smells and tastes that way. Pillowy, perfumy and mildly spicy yeast all over this thing, it smells pretty nice and tastes even better. Strangely delicious, with pepper, tart wheat, orange peel and coriander, though it’s perhaps a little too syrupy in the finish. Ughsmash (2615), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Jan 17, 2008 Thanks to Nathan for the bottle! Poured clear, brighter golden with a tall, fluffy cap of white head and lots of rising carbonation. The aroma picked up bunches of dusty, peppery yeast, lemon zest, and floral.. sour and engaging. The flavor began with tangy sour lemon on the tip of the tongue, with bread and wheaty notes across the middle, never losing the sour lemony notes.. short, dry finish. I thought the sourness was an interesting twist.. lighter-bodied and grainy on the palate. Very solid stuff! Dogbrick (2041), Columbus, Ohio, USA Sep 16, 2006 Sample at the brewpub: Pale golden-amber color with a medium foamy white head with fair retention. Thin, spotty lacing. Light-bodied and rather crisp with equal parts hops and fruit flavoring. The finish is mildly bitter and short. Average overall. sliffy (1903), Columbus, Ohio, USA Dec 9, 2007 C-Bus 10: Bottle shared by brigadier: Pours a clear copper with an off white head.
