12 oz bottle that I bought for $1.69 at Palmers in Clintonville, OH. Pours a very thick dark black and has one of the tannest heads Iíve seen. The smell is very dark, lots of dark chocolate, coffee, and fruit. The taste is incredibly thick and rich, lots of chocolate, roasted coffee, sweet malt, and faint dark fruit. Extremely easy to drink, as there is very little alcohol presence. Very smooth and creamy body, vanilla cream mouthfeel, and deep rich chocolate, coffe bittersweetnes. AWESOME beer.

10th rating, nice! Bottle from gorysheck, thanks george. Pours black with a light brownish yellow head, make the nanans, make sense. Nose is weird, sweet, funky with clear cut banana. Taste is totally cool, really awesome banana imperial stout, this is super cool, super weird, but cool, huge. This beer created hilarity when my girlfriend got all crazy and saying weird stuff about how its totally flat, but tingly on her tongue. This beer is a conversation starter.

Bottle courtesy of bu11zeye. Black as all hell. Gorgeous aroma with cocoa and caramel. Taste is a little dry. Has edges of burn with good notes of malt. Solid through and through.

Bottle. Pours a thick and dark brown with a fairly large yet slow-forming head. Just the kind of Impy head I like to watch... you get all done with the pour and then it slowly rises up. Aromas are a little weak... a bit of sweet roasted malt, a little chocolate, a couple of cherries (?)... Flavor is decent enough and there is definitely a cherry flavor in there... tastes of coffee, peat, chocolate and cherries. Iím not really picking up on the bananas very much... maybe it is the mix of them and the malt that Iím mistaking for cherries, though. Alcohol isnít detectable, which is odd, given the ABV... Mouthfeel is fairly light for a heavy beer... somewhere thinner than what I would classify as silky. Finish is a nice enough mix of dark chocolate and peat for a kind of bitter sweetness.

Very dark black with a small brown head. Aroma of roasted malt and a little coffee. Flavor of roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate and banana. A little thin but still good.

Thanks to Nathan for the bomber! Poured highly-viscous inky black with an easily-resuscitated cap of garnet-tinted brown head. The aroma picked up roasted bakerís chocolate, coffee, and smoked molasses, accented by vanilla and toasty oak.. warmth brought out cherry vinegar and lactic notes.. quite intriguing. The flavor showcased more of the sourness in the form of cherry dust, vinegar, milky notes, and oak, and it really worked well.. sweeter chocolates, molassess, anise, and coffee malts at the core, basically in that order of prevalence..sour finish was well-balanced against the malts and was certainly memorable. Heavier-bodied with ideal low-to-moderate bitterness on the palate.. the sourness actually made it near-refreshing.. the booze factor was nowhere to be found until well after the drink. This was excellent.

12oz bottle. Pours extremely black with a dark brown, well retained head. Excellent aroma. Deep chocolate notes, chocolate cake, vanilla, fruitiness, coffee and cherry. Just a really nice nose. Flavor is toasty, chocolate milk, slightly burnt, molasses. Creamy though a bit on the thin side. Pretty damn good actually. This was a surprise. Pretty underrated in my opinion.

22oz. bottle thanks to MrBunn. Pours Black with a lovely tan head. Aroma is of fresh roasted coffee beansand light licorice.Palate is a bit weaker than I expected. Major flavors are rich coffee, some tobacco, and a bit of funk. If theres any banan presence in this, It comes across as a bit of the peel. That light bitterness. other than that, I dont buy it.
