Bottle from the Otown throwdown. Hey I brought this one! Amber pour wtih a nice tan head. aroma is full of sweets...toffee, caramel, vanilla, raisins and brown sugar. Flavor is much the same with caramel, molasses, brown sugar, vanilla, and fruit. Very slight bitterness. Nice beer.

Bomber thanks to Nathan! Poured a rich shade of amber with a well-formed cap of beige head. The aroma picked up caramel, toffee, and darker fruity notes with earthy and lesser floral notes surrounding.. there was a hint of sourness on the back. The flavor had toffee and caramel again at the core with intermittent anise and molasses notes.. bitterness was mild and earthy.. again there was some sourness, but it worked OK. Heavier-bodied with low carbonation on the palate.. flowed OK.. spicy at the end with a tasty finish.

Bottle in trade from miketd. Thanks man! Pours a nice ruby semi clear color with a light beige head. Smell is almost a bit cola like with some sweet malt and subtle hops. Taste is fairly balanced and dry with some fruity flavors and caramel. A touch of booze, but not 12.5% worth, really. Medium body and carbonation. Decent barley wine overall.

Bottle received via trade with fiver29. Pours brown with an average, fizzy, light brown head, somewhat lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, caramel, toffee), average hops (perfume), average yeast (dough, earth) with notes of dates, apple, and brown sugar. Full bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness.

Bottle obtained from the brewpub. The best is the look: A big white bubbly head on a brown body. A lot of lace. Mouthfeel is a little light. Not significantly complex. Basically malty and drinkable. Some sugar. But not too sweet overall. Fairly boozy. Not much in aroma.
