cmconrad99 (4), Lorain, Ohio, USA does not count Apr 11, 2008 By far my favorite Beer by the Mad Brewer.
Like most craft beers some batches are better than others, and this last batch reminded me of my first Hop Fusion which was excellent. The batch before this one lacked something.
Anyways, great Hoppy flavor, well rounded citrus. Not too bitter. Yet flavorful.
Look forward to the next batch. AleDude (22), USA Apr 13, 2008 April 11, 2008
Strong hop flavor and a clear amber colored pour, with a creamy head. The hops are strong, but it has a smooth and long-lasting finish. DMRz (105), Durham, North Carolina, USA Aug 25, 2007 Very nice dark reddish golden color. The aroma of this beer is fantastic, perhaps the best of any IPA I have tried (amazingly bright floral hops with a touch of pine). The flavor is very representative of the terrific hops aroma, with a nice touch of citrus and a slightly sweet finish that balances this perfectly. This also is remarkably smooth and pleasant on the palate. I do not know if there is a better IPA than this. A spectacular effort!!! RCL (861), Boston, Massachusetts, USA Aug 25, 2007 This beer smells amazing. Fresh hops, flowers, hints of cedar, just superb. Flavor doesn’t live up to the smell, but nothing can! As is, it has a nice dry flavor with excellent balance. Nephilium (382), Ohio, USA Sep 2, 2007 This starts with a wonderful piney hop aroma (almost astringent in nature). It pours a reddish-amber, with a thin off-white head. Nice bitterness, with pine and citrus notes, and a touch of caramel malts for balance. Seems to have a touch less carbonation then I would like in it. Overall, a wonderful addition to the Cleveland area beers available.
