3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 riversideAK (4568) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - AUG 7, 2010
Toasty, caramel, and toffee nose, a light hint of butter, soft fruity notes too. Pours hazy amber with a short lasting head. Flavors of toffee, caramel, some fruity residuals, light english hop bitterness and a hint of butter. Thin almost flabby carbonation. Not much to this, not bad though.

July 2008: Mad Brewer Infra-Red is transparent, amber-red in color, and has a weak off-white to beige-colored crown. The caramelly aroma foreshadows the flavor. The lightly toasty and toffee maltiness in the flavor is paried with a citrusy and floral hoppiness. There is a slight amaretto-like taste as well. This medium-bodied beer is pretty smooth and is a good representation of an Irisl Ale. It is more well-rounded and most....
Draught sample at The Brew Keeper brewpub in North Ridgeville, Ohio. Rating #9 for this beer.

Bottle shared by me. Thanks dude! Clear red/amber with a thin tan head. Sweet and grainy malt aroma with some cream. Creamy malt flavor with a teeny bit of hop. Not bad, but I would have preferred more hops.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Dogbrick (4842) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAY 20, 2009
Thanks to JaBier for sharing. The beer is dark amber-brown color with a medium beige head that dissipates steadily. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. Pale malt, caramel and a bit of fruit in the nose. Medium body with flavors of caramel malt, fruit and mild spices. The finish is short and malty. Slightly above average overall.

Dark ruby color with a big beige head. Aroma of grainy malts. Flavor of sweet malts and caramel.

Bottle. Pours a nice red with a large (three fingers or so) beige head. Aromas are kinda boozy with a lot of grainy malt and caramel. Flavor is pretty malty with just a touch of apple fruitiness. Bottle says 4.25% on it... and I’d believe it. It is pretty mild... nice, but mild.

This poured a red color with an off white head. Aroma was pretty bland but mainly maltiness and some metalixc notes. Flavor is pretty watery with notes of sweet malts and caramela nd not much else. Pretty normal for the style.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 AleDude (41) - USA - APR 13, 2008
The InfraRed is a very drinkable beer for most any occasion. It is has a medium amber color. I have had several batches of this beer and the degree of hoppiness can vary, but it is always smooth with a very clean finish. Definitely a step above the popular national "Irish Red" beer.

Bottle courtesy of brigadier. Pours red with a thin white head. Smells malty with some citrussy hints. Tastes of dough, citrus, chewable vitamins, some tea. Decent.
