AleDude (16), USA Apr 13, 2008 The Magnum IPA has a significant hop flavor but the hops do not overpower the beer (due to a strong malt presence). This is an excellent IPA and should be savored slowly. Dogbrick (2011), Columbus, Ohio, USA Sep 16, 2006 Sample at the brewpub: Rich amber color with a medium ivory-colored head that dissipates slowly. Patches of lacing. The aroma is full of citrus and hops, along with a touch of spice. Medium-bodied with strong hops and alcohol flavor with a good amount of malt for balance. The finish retains the hoppy character and lingers awhile. A decent beer but does not pack the punch of the better 2IPAs on the market, and is definitely a far cry from the Buckeye ’76.
