22oz bottle purchased at Chucks in Chagrin. The pour is a very nice copper haze with the perfect cream head. The aroma is a pretty nice creamy caramel malt scent with a little bit of the alcohol popping out. Amazingly enough, the aroma is the only place I really notice the 11%. The flavor is fantastically creamy, almost too creamy in fact. It tastes like a cross between a cream soda and malted milk balls- but in beer form! Overall I am pretty impressed, it has a good mouthfeel that makes it easy going and not bitter at all. All while the flavor is smooth and not overpowering. One of the few times that a big beer isn’t so dominant that it hirts

Fridge aged 22 oz bottle from trade. Acquired at Dark Lord Day 2010 from Dr. Homolka. Thanks! Pours a rich amber brown pour, a rich orange glowing edges offers a firm ring of brighter white head. Good haziness. Aromas are gentle sweetness, vanilla and grainy malts, pale grains, dough, corn bread, cake. Sweeter overall. Initial is fuller bodied, heavier end of medium offering sweeter toffee, caramel, and biscuits. Gentle creamy vanilla on the palate, with some mellow cakey sweetness. Middle is cakey, butterscotch, toffee, gentle vanilla and coconut. Finish is touches of heat, sweet sticky malts. An odd beer. Backend is lingering sticky malts, heat, vanilla and coconut. Meh.. Not my thing.
