2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 fletchfighters (821) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 7, 2012
green apple, caramel, and roses lime. Nice looking caramel color with hints of ruby. Slightly undercarbonated. Typical malt shovel offering that is decent but very safe for consumers.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jdpeebs (636) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAY 14, 2012
640ml Bottle. A good version of a saison. The Mad brewers keep making weird and wonderful beers.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 maneliquor (1564) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - FEB 17, 2012
Bottle. Off notes when I first started on craft beer. Not a fond memory of this beer according to these scribbles. Cider like fruitiness and belgian yeast dominate nose and taste. Quite sessionable but a weird combo of flavours. Not my thing
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 mkel07 (2340) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - SEP 12, 2010
640ml bottle. Extremely vibrant and appealing in the glass with a red tinge that is like looking at the sun through a dust storm. Crackly slight head that quickly dissapates. Spicy fruit aromas abound and the flavour is light and dry with a slightly tart green apple finish.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 bmeup (471) - Ormeau, AUSTRALIA - JUL 23, 2010
For me something is just not right here. Strong apple & yeast. Very earthy, sugary, sour & spice. Perhaps needs a little more hops & malt to balance the scales. Unusual to say the least and a tough one to swallow.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 mickmac (481) - Ngunnawal, AUSTRALIA - JUL 11, 2010
Bottle. Small average offwhite head over a clear amber-nutbrown body. Aroma of hession sack and bread. Taste of coriander, fruity and sweet through out. Medium to full bodied. Not what I expected.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 ndon (857) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 21, 2010
UPDATED: SEP 1, 2010 extremely strong on the apples, with a sour kick after. could have done with a bit more of a malt background. better in the bottle than on tap.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 Mattburns (109) - USA - MAY 21, 2010
A whole lot of apples right here. The aroma (and taste even) could pass as a cider which is really not my thing.
Looked quite good. Amber in colour with a slightly off white head.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Maris (754) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - APR 27, 2010
From a 640ml bottle on 27/4/2010. Smell and taste wise, this is all sweet apples. This is relatively pleasant, but could use a touch more edge (I’m no doubt influenced by just having tried a Zierholz Swill, which is one of the biggest, craziest apple beer creations one can experience).
