COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This malt-balanced beer starts on a caramel note in deep copper hues. The malt is balanced with subtle hopping. The name comes from 19th Century Scotland categorization with 80 shilling being a premium priced beer with greater malt.

On tap at the brewery. Light bready notes, mild woody character, subtle roasted malt. Dark coppery brown clear with no head. Medium body with cask carbonation. Starts smooth and medium sweet with nice roasted character, sweet caramel and dry hop bitterness. No off flavors. Smooth nutty sweet finish.

Cask at the pub. Ruby-brown, fruity, malty beauty with a firm enough bitterness to balance and aid drinkability. Punchy, fruity taste with a clen bitterness. Caramel and plum in the aroma. Tasty and smooth.
