An American-style India Pale Ale that is brewed with 100% Centennial hops from the Pacific Northwest and then dry- hopped with over 44 pounds of Centennial as well for an extra fresh hop punch. This beer has a fresh resiny herbal and citrusy grapefruit aroma that follows through to a tingling hoppy herbal bitterness in the finish. The British pale and German Vienna malts provide a biscuity malt sweetness that balances the hop bitterness.

On tap at the brewpub poured into a taster. Amber in color with white head that settles quickly and leaves a little lacing. Aroma is floral and citrus hops with bready malt backbone. Flavor is similar with bitter herbal and grassy hop tones mixed in. Caramel sweetness lingers. Medium body, medium carbonation, resiny bitter finish.

Draught @ Mad Fox Brewing Company - Glover Park Taproom, Washington, DC. Pours clear rich amber wit small off-white head. Clear aroma of fruit and citrus, with notes of hops and touches of malt. Bitter, hoppy flavour with notes of malt and grass and citric touches. Bitetr aftertaste with malty notes. Not bad but far from the top notch.

Lots of pine in this and a fair amount of booze. They combine in almost an anise like aroma. Pours clear dark amber with ok head. Soft carbonation. Light bitter finish. If this had the same great malt backbone of some of their less hoppy beers, I think it would be much better. Tap at brewpub.

Draft at Mad Fox. Pours clear copper with a fizzy white head. Tastes like burnt roasted malt, dry grapefruit hops, pine, toast. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like sweet citrus hops, musky, nutty, roasted malt.

Sampler at the pub. Bit of a soapy aroma. After that though lots of pine and pretty aggressive hop profile for an APA. Finish is resin and flavor forward but not enamel piercing. Good balance and easy to drink.
