On tap at the brewpub poured into a taster. Amber in color with white head that settles quickly and leaves a little lacing. Aroma is floral and citrus hops with bready malt backbone. Flavor is similar with bitter herbal and grassy hop tones mixed in. Caramel sweetness lingers. Medium body, medium carbonation, resiny bitter finish.

Growler at SlutFest 2011 on 04/23/2011. Clear copper amber body with a medium frothy white head. Dry floral and resiny hop aroma. Big floral and resiny hop flavor with a pale malt background. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

Draft sampler at brewpub. Pours a light copper with small white head. Aroma is faint citrus and hops. Taste is spicy herbal hops. Interesting, pretty good.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear amber with some thin white head. Nose has some citrus, a little malt, some bread, a little yeast, some berry. Flavor is lightly juicy, some more berry, a little light bread, yeast. Dry finish. Hides the alcohol well.

Tap at the brewpub. Clear light golden pour with a clingy white head. Nice grapefruit and resin. Finishes slightly dry. Good beer.

Tap at Mad Fox. Pours sparkling deep amber. Persistent creamy buttermilk head. Webby lace. Nose is dusty, cheesy, herbal, sweet strawberry and blueberry. Taste is oily, cheesecloth, quite bitter and juicy. Very nice. Long, bitter, dry finish.

Tap. Pours mostly clear amber with thin, fizzy white head; short retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is grassy and floral hops, lemon, orange peel, biscuit malt, and pine. Flavor is balanced sweet malt and hops (light bitterness) with light fruit esters; dry, citrus finish. Light/medium body, medium body, and low warmth.

On tap at the Brewery, this IPA was unusual i it s citrus flavors, golden color no head or lacing, very nice but not typical.

Growler shared by Beerandblues2 at Butters Slutfest 2.0, Richmond, VA, 4.23.11. Pours a clear copper color with a thin tan head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma of bitter earthy and leafy hops. The taste is very bitter earthy hop notes with some faint caramel malts. Medium bodied with a lingering bitterness. Decently balanced.
