COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A West Coast style American Pale Ale brewed with equal portions English Pale malt and German Vienna malt to provide lots of malt backbone and a dark straw color. The hop varietals are Millennium for bittering and Centennial for flavor and aroma. This brew is not for the hop impaired and is sought out by hop lovers.

Growler from Growlers to Go. The pale ale poured a clear Amber color with a thin head and no lacing. The aroma of mild floral hops and pale malts greet you. The taste is smooth with nice hop bitterness mixed with lemon grass. This is good APA. The beer was purchased for adults at my grandson’s birthday. The finish was clean with mild bitterness in the upper mouth.

Draught @ Mad Fox Brewing Company - Glover Park Taproom, Washington, DC. Pours nearly clear golden with airy white head. Clear aroma of malt, with hoppy and estery notes and hints of fruit. Bitter, hoppy flavour, mwith heavy estery and malty notes and touches of bread. Bitter and rough aftertaste with notes of needles. Drinkable but nothing to write home about.

Appearance: medium golden air, short white head. Aroma: grapefruit and pine, light caramel malts. Taste: bitter grapefruit, tropical hopes, resin, a bit of paper, a hint of caramel and cardboard. Finish: lingering bitter astringency. Notes: Bitter and unbalanced. I prefer an APA with a little more malt. Draught at the source.

Draft at the source. Transparent golden body, effervescent, small, off-white collar. Aromas of caramel malt, pine, earthy hops. Tangy hops, medium sweetness, fruity, earthy malts. Light in body with mild bitterness. I prefer hop forward pale ales to malty ones, so this one misses the mark for me.
