COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION A special version of our beloved 80 Shilling Ale, this batch has been resting in Bourbon barrels for six months. Not just any Bourbon barrels, but the third use of barrels after seeing Batch 100 and Crazy Ivan. The result is less boozy Bourbon and more oaky, vanilla and earthy spice. So very drinkable.
On draft at the brewpub during its Robbie Burns dinner. Pours a dark brown with an off whitehead. Vanilla and subtle raisin notes in the nose. Oak flavors are prominent but do not overpower the nicely balanced malty flavors of this nice ale.
