Our interpretation of a Czech Bohemian Pilsener, inspired by a trip to the Czech Republic by our brewer. Brewed with authentic Bohemian Pilsener malt made from the heirloom Hanka barley varietal and imported Czech Saaz hops. This beer has a spicy herbal Saaz hops aroma that follows through to the hop enhanced flavor, backed up by smooth malt flavor and a dry finish.

Tap at Smoke and Barrel. Pours a low haze straw with medium, white head. Webby lace. Nose is sharp lemon, not much else. Taste is full melon, tree bark, rich bitterness through the finish. Good noble hoppiness and mild squash with a decent amount of sugar.

Sampled at MadFox. Pours a watery, extremely faint gold with some cloudy white head. Oddly, the nose is a little sugary, grass, lemon, some white bread. Flavor was also oddly sugary, lightly bitter, sweet, grass, hay. Makes me wonder if some malt extract was used and failed to ferment it. Mostly dry, spritzy finish. Reminded me less of a Czech Pilsner and more of a Euro adjunct lager.

Draft - what I think was 16 or maybe even 20 ounces. Poured a clear, bubbly golden color with a nice thick completely white head. Aroma was biscuit malts, crisp mild hops. Flavor was refreshing, and pretty enjoyable.
