COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our interpretation of Belgian inspired dark Saison brewed with over 8 different imported German and English malts and then gently hopped with German Perle hops. The beer was fermented with a French farmhouse style yeast strain to lend dark fruit notes with hints of cherries and currants that then finishes with a dark chocolate flavor.

Tap. Thin dark khaki head on a very deep dark brown. Touch of chocolate and sour dark fruits and cherry in the aroma. Flavor is pretty much the same but less acidic than aroma and dark cherries really come through. Odd beer, but not bad. Medium silky MF. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Cola-black body, small tan head. Aroma is moderately sweet, caramel, some molasses, licorice, light Belgian yeast. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel, earthy, Belgian yeast, some molasses, maple syrup. Medium body, some stickiness.

Served on cask at the brewpub. Pours a hazy dark brown color with a large creamy, off-white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of sweet and tart fruits, chocolate, bread, anise and other spicy notes. The taste is chocolate, cherries, herbal and spice notes and bread. Medium bodied.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a dark brown with a thin light tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, Belgian yeast, nutty malt. Flavor is nor as roasted as the aroma and has a greater spice presence. Good black Belgian, but u was hoping for a little more roast character. 8/4/7/4/14 (3.7/5)
