This beer was originally brewed for a famous Reggae festival that happens each year here in Humboldt County. A malty bitter American Amber style ale. This mahogany hued ale brings an intense spectrum of hop flavors from the spicy aromatic to lingering bitter, all underscored by a full- bodied caramel richness. Try this brew with a little Jamaican Jerked Chicken.

7% a reddish brown opaque pour with a beige head & a candy caramel aroma. Medium-bodied, sweet caramel malts with a strong citrusy hop bitterness give it a mildly puckering bitter finish but is overall well balanced and solid. Quite easy to drink.

Plum hops, coffee beans aroma. Dark malt, caramel, citrus, nutty, sweet finish. Pleasant amber ale, almost feels like a half stout.

Draft. Pours a medium, well retained ivory head, over a slightly hazy copper (SRM 18) body.....nose is cereal, hints of brown sugar, slight allspice phenolics, hints of whiskey, no esters....taste is light sweet, cereal malts, Bourbon tones, light terpene, slight pepper, leading to a moderate lingering, light pine, citrus peel bitterness.....mouth feel medium, slightly sticky, slight terminal acidity. This is a very different beer and very different from the typical Amber. Some of the aromas and flavors are incongruous to the ingredients, but all in all makes for an interesting beer. Bottle. This is a desert island red. All the great flavors of an imperial red but moderate in its 6.5 abv. Great nose of citrus and pine with ripe ctirus fruit dominating but a little spice too. Cloudy red with little head and no lace. Outstanding flavor of resiny citrus and sweet caramel/crystal malt. Medium bodied. Everything you could want from a west coast red ale. Would love to have this on tap.

This pours a dark amber color with a slight beige head. The aroma is mild with hints of malts. The taste is decently malty with a slightly bitter after taste. The texture is decent but the taste is still lacking some deeper characteristics. Still ok for a red ale, but to the average consumer the Jamaican label on an American beer will throw people off.

Pours dark amber with frothy head. Nose is full of malt and hops. A bit of caramel and roasted notes near the end. Taste is a very balanced sweet with a hoppy finish. Great happy hour choice like the fusion.

12 oz bottle from Baruni’s in Baden, PA. Perfectly tuned to the reggae spirit although not as tasty as a Red Stripe. Taste may vary depending on venue and state of mind.

Pours a reddish amber with a thick foamy head. Aroma is hoppy with dark fruity notes. Taste is a well balanced blend of caramel malts and bright citrusy hops. Good. Six pack material. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
