3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Blonde cloudy color, strong grapefruit aroma. Spicy hop flavor with a nice malty sweetness. Not a great IPA but very drinkable.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Orangish-golden body with a smattering of white bubbles on top. Wet hop aroma (grapefruit and pineapple) with grainy biscuit malts underneath. The flavor contrasts with the aroma in that it isn’t that interesting wheras the aroma is very inticing. Starts with soft, round pale malt sweetness and transitions to spruce, pineapple and apricot. A little too much carbonation in the mouthfeel.
The hop belch score is a 3/5 because it came back with sort of a camphor medicinal taste.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cloudy golden color with a diminished off white head and a heavy sheet of lace. Ruby red grapefruit aroma with only a small amout of malt in the backdrop. Initail malt sweetness followed but a light piney bitterness and quickly taken back by the a flowery sweetness. Light and airy on the palate. 20 years ago this would have been a hop monster. Now it is well rounded and drinkable. What not to like?

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Honey, hops, slight orange note in the aroma. Thin white head that lasted which was nice. Really very sweet for an IPA, seems for like an American Pale Ale, almost like Firestone Double Barrel. Pretty nice though. A decent beer, as an IPA it is well below average, as a beer it isn't all that bad.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
This is a personal favorite of mine. This isn't like most IPA's out there and probably not liked as an IPA by most people. This is a very fruity IPA. Not bitter nearly as bitter as most. A very smoothe beer. Great for a hot summer night. This is certainly in my top 10

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This India Pale Ale pours into the glass with a golden orange body topped by a thin head with little lacing left behind. The flavor and aroma are sweet and fruity (Pineapple?) with a hoppy note and a surprisingly high amount of maltiness. This combination seams to work better in the aroma than the flavor. This brew is light to medium bodied, relatively smooth and a touch dry.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A decent IPA that isn't special in any way. I don't what else to say about this brew.

It was ok, at least the half that I drank before knocking my beer over. It did have a little more flavor and bite than I expected, almost a heavyweight, but not quite.

3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: AUG 30, 2004 I guess cloudy is the best word to describe this beer. They're going to do a lot better than this to compete in CA as an IPA.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very hazy orange colour with a thin off-white head. Aroma of grapefruity hops, pine and a complete balance of malt. Medium to Light-bodied; Slightly sweet initial taste with a sudden hop bitterness. Aftertaste shows a lot of hops-but fairly mild. Overall, a decent IPA...good for the style and nothing wrong with it at all. I bought this twelve ounce bottle at Chevy Chase Wine & Liquors in Washington, D.C. and sampled it on 20-December-2003.
