On draft at Stone. Deep amber pour, with an off white head. Intensely bourbon, sweet bread, fruitcake, strong booze, toffee, wood, more bourbon, and notes of vanilla. Good, but too boozy for my liking.

On tap @ Stone Liberty Station. Hazed mahogany pour with a thin layer of khaki foam. Nice bourbon, vanilla, and oak on the nose. Plenty of caramel and some marshmallow. Pretty toasty and a hint of chocolate. Sweet on the tongue and lots of caramelized sugars and vanilla. Nice bourbon, some dark fruits, and fudge. Good marshmallow, coconut, and some maple. Pretty nice stuff.

Bottle, shared with Parksy and Grippitis. Missing my notes here, but I do recall a sweet malty bourbon-kissed full-bodied beer that I liked quite a bit.

Pour on tap at Rackhouse, hazy dark reddish brown pour with off white head, aroma brought big notes of dark fruits, lots of caramel, toffee, slight roast into big bourbon, oak, and vanilla, slight coconut. Taste is a mix of earth, nice dark fruits, dark caramel, into big bourbon, oak, sweet vanilla, finishing sweet. Pretty nice.

This one poured a murky light brown color with a beige head. Aroma was lots of old barrel, oak, maple, and dark fruits. falvor was caramel sweetness and fruits upfront, followed by mellowed barrel and wood with a maple finish oka, but seemed to be in the barrel too long.

Draft @ Beer Revolution, Oakland, CA. Vintage 2011. Pours a dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty woody bourbon and vanilla aroma. Sweetish malty woody bourbon and vanilla flavor with hints of caramel. Has a sweetish malty woody bourbon and vanilla finish.

12 oz. bottle served in a . 2010 vintage. Big thanks to BourbonBob26 for the extra! A: Pours an opaque brown color with a light khaki head forming on the pour. It recedes to a thicker ring that leaves sheets of lace down the glass. S: Very smooth bourbon, decadent caramel, some mild oak and a little fig. Earthy dates with some lightly toasted malts. Some bready flavors as well. Really digging this. T: The bourbon is a little more restrained in the taste. The oak comes out a little more with a lot of dates and figs. A little malty sweetness with some roast and caramel. A little less inviting and complex than the nose. M: A tad over carbed. Pretty prickly across the palate which is less desirable given the ABV and style. Medium bodied with a sweet bourbon finish. O: If it wasnít as carbonated this would have been a home run, but sadly the mouthfeel detracts from the overall experience of the beer. Iím really happy to have tried it as itís been a want of mine for a while, but Iím glad I didnít have to go out of my way for it. Serving type: bottle

Tap at The Rackhouse, 12/17/2012. Clear dark tawny brown with a thin dissipating beige head. Aroma was intense and magical; lots of brown sugar, boozy bourbon, vanilla, caramel, raisins/figs, and a hint of dark cherry and port tones. Flavor was magnificent and full and balanced and smoothly carbonated. Lots of oaked bourbon an brown sugar on the front end, without being too sharp or boozy. Then it gets kinda syrupy and sweet for a moment before returning to an oaked and vanilla twinged wave of caramel, figs, toffee, and black cherries. Brown sugar and oak finish with some boozy warmth. Wonderfully made.
