3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle to glass. Pours a murky deep amber orangish color with a creamy tan head. Aroma is faint citrus. Flavor is moderately biter, but without many other hoppy characteristics. Bitterness lingers in the finish. Ok imperial. Nothing special.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This pours as a amber with an orange hue to it. it is a bit cloudy. The head is actually kind of peach in color. It actually has a bit of a caramel smell mixed with the citrus. There are apricot flavors that dominate the flavor with other hops and malts. It is not as bitter as must brews in this category.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
From a 355ml bottle on 1/1/2014. Pours a murky dark orange with a small head. The aroma is primarily fruity hops. Flavour wise, there’s lots of sweet caramel malt, and sweet and tart fruit (mandarin, lemon, orange, pineapple). There is a firm bitterness at the back, but little of the pine and resin that features in so many US IPAs. This is not a typical imperial/double - it’s quite restrained, even if it’s strength doesn’t surprise. Not quite top flight but very pleasant drinking.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
found this beer while up in Sioux City over Christmas visiting my in-laws. Really enjoyed this beer. So much so that I took a Sixer home with me. Not to heavy on the hops (which I’m fine with, but this worked well without it).

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
A: amber diaphanous ale with a finger of transient light yellow foam which remains as a broken sheet of the same. Rare lace.
S: Smells like some noble hops (old and stagnant), oxidized malts and little else.
T: Malt and hints of residual bitterness. Guessing this one’s old, but hard to tell without a bottle date.
M: Medium on heavy for the style with moderate carb.
O: This is not a good beer.
Serving type: bottle

Tap. Gold. Excellent lacing. Aroma is subtle. Very smooth mouthfeel and even taste throughout. Balanced alcohol and sweet and hoppy. Very easy to drink for this style.
