3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours hazy golden copper color with white head. Aroma malts citrus and some tropical fruit. Medium caramel malt body, slightly on the heavy side actually. Piney bitter hop profile but its pretty evenly balanced with the malts. A pretty run of the mill double IPA., but not bad.

Plenty of citrus hops, more sweet than it is bitter. Very strong presence of alcohol. Not bad.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Acquired from hayduke. Thanks Ron! It poured a golden color with a small white head. The aroma was of citrus, mild florals and caramel malts. The taste was sweet at first and then some citrus comes in and gives way to a smooth, but bitter finish. Very well done.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
pours cloudy golden amber, with little white head. the aroma is grapefuit, citrus, and, caramel. The flavor is very sweet, with, with pine, earthy, and some citrus. The palate is a bit watery for a bit beer, and i would like more hop flavor up front with it being a IIPA overall good, but not Great

the Mad River Brewing Company has a logo two fish swimming upstream. Who in their right mind slaps aquatic vertebrae on twelve ounces of liquid grapefruit? Operatives at the MRBC that’s who. Film on the inside of the glass dissipates as I swirl the murky, fish egg baring beer they call it. More grapefruit than third world pickers care to see. The only redeeming quality has to be the high content of alcohol. -prolly the worst W.S.B. impersonation rating ever.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap 5 oz. sampler at The V in Ashburn, VA.
Nearly clear, orange-brown with an off-white head and very good lacing.
Aroma of heavy pine resin, citrus and sweet malt. Although fairly even, the malt and hops seem more in conflict than in balance.
Taste of sweet bready malt, pine resin and citrus--again more in conflict than in balance.
Medium body and medium/low carbonization.
