3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This pours as a amber with an orange hue to it. it is a bit cloudy. The head is actually kind of peach in color. It actually has a bit of a caramel smell mixed with the citrus. There are apricot flavors that dominate the flavor with other hops and malts. It is not as bitter as must brews in this category.

Pours a cloudy orange/amber with a smallish, but lasting head. Nice aromas of pine and fruit. Taste is full and well-balanced. Starts fruity and ends with some bitterness. Good beer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
An orange-amber pour into the glass has a foamy head that leaves spiderweb lacing. The nose is of citrus and sweet malt. Caramel in the mouth, along with orange and tangerine, light rind/peel notes, some stone fruits (peach?), and a woody earthen hop bitter to finish. The balance here is very good, hiding the ABV wonderfully (only noted at the very end of the finish). Itís smooth and very drinkable, with a definitive juicy palate, medium body and soft carbonation. Although the complexity and substantial mouthfeel lean toward a fuller body, the balance is so nice to provide a very easy quaff. Cheers!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Archive Beer Boutique January 2014. Quite malty for a double IPA and the flavour is thick and cloying.

An aroma of honey and golden brown color invite you in. As you take your first sip expecting a big hop punch in the face this beer mellows out and goes into a smokey like flavor of malt.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Hazy, caramel color, slight head, thin lace. The aroma is bad. It smells fishy. Itís possible that this bottle has gone skunky. The flavor was better than the aroma. Rich, sweet malt with strong, citrus hops. Oily mouthfeel. I might try it again to find out if I just got a bad bottle.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours golden brown with an off white, thick head. Immediate aroma of dank hop pellets, herbs and resin. Also a hit of heavy caramel and brown sugar. Upfront taste is resiny hops and plenty of herbaceous notes. Chewy caramel malt and thick body, finished with a big bitterness. Surprisingly good!

Good DIPA - well balanced between lots of sweet caramel malt and the hop load - complex flavour - herbal more than fruity, great resiny aftertaste - only detracting thing for me is the upfront alcohol taste (not surprising) but this fades quickly as the assertive bitterness takes over. The more I drink, the more I like it... very moreish.
