12-oz bottle. Ap - A hazy deep orange that looks like honey. Three-finger pillowy head with good retention and lacing. Noticed a lot of unexpected unfiltered sediment in the last pour. I am guessing it is bottle conditioned. Ar - smells like a orange juice. Malty aroma balances the citrus hops. A touch of yeast is present as well. T - Very smooth. Its a honey biscuit with a grapefruit juice chaser. The three flavors are very well balanced for the style. I don’t think I have had an IPA with this high of a yeast profile. But it is pleasant and not overdone. A long finish give you your money’s worth with every sip. P - Mouthfeel is what it should be for the style. Creamy and a touch sticky. Medium to full bodied and almost creamy. O - Balance gives this beer high drinkability. My second Mad River brew. So far I am impressed.

An aroma of honey and golden brown color invite you in. As you take your first sip expecting a big hop punch in the face this beer mellows out and goes into a smokey like flavor of malt. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy, caramel color, slight head, thin lace. The aroma is bad. It smells fishy. It’s possible that this bottle has gone skunky. The flavor was better than the aroma. Rich, sweet malt with strong, citrus hops. Oily mouthfeel. I might try it again to find out if I just got a bad bottle.

Bottle from Hazel’s beverage world. Amber color, white head. Bitter taste with citrus, caramel, resin, floral hops, mango and a bit of pine. Bitter finish with floral hops, resin and mango. Very nice imperial IPA.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours golden brown with an off white, thick head. Immediate aroma of dank hop pellets, herbs and resin. Also a hit of heavy caramel and brown sugar. Upfront taste is resiny hops and plenty of herbaceous notes. Chewy caramel malt and thick body, finished with a big bitterness. Surprisingly good!

Good DIPA - well balanced between lots of sweet caramel malt and the hop load - complex flavour - herbal more than fruity, great resiny aftertaste - only detracting thing for me is the upfront alcohol taste (not surprising) but this fades quickly as the assertive bitterness takes over. The more I drink, the more I like it... very moreish.

Bottle at Slices. Clear amber with small white head. Surprised by the malty aroma, a little spicy. Hoppy bitterness comes through in the flavour balanced with the malts. Not hoppy enough for the style for my taste, but still a solid beer.

Pours amber with a nice two fingered head. A lot of sediment in this one, a positive sign in my eyes. Aroma is malty for the style with obvious grapefruit and spicy overtone. Flavor has a nice yeasty malt bill up front and rolls over into a tangy citrus rind bitterness. There is a slight metallic aftertaste. Lightly carbonated, it goes down fairly smooth. Overall, a solidly made DIPA. I would definitely try again.

The only thing that lacked was that there was a lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Half way through, I didn't even notice.
