COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The original Extra Pale Ale, this is the one that started it all. Our first brew was introduced in 1989 in Golden Gate style kegs. We have stayed true to our beginnings and still brew it the way we did back then. A bright golden hued ale with a medium body and a crisp spicy /floral hop character and very mild bitterness. This unfiltered ale has a pleasing mouth feel and remains our most popular brew. This beer goes with everything and every occasion.

12oz bottle - pours unfiltered gold with white head. Nose is skunky grass with an emphasis on grass. Flavor adds light bread or caramel. refreshing after inflating a plastic pool in 90+ degree heat. Very easy to drink considering I don’t like the style (thought I was buying an APA). A little light on the palate.

Pours brassy, cloudy, gold with a creamy, off-white head. Aroma is grain, malt, honey. Flavour is sweet, floral, honeyed. Fruit syrup, almost a hint of pear. Very tasty and soft.

Golden pour with a nice white head. Biscuit malt, some cracker, and sweet grain. Floral hops, honey, and a bit of grass. Maybe some lemon, too. The flavor is just generically sweet. Grain, biscuit, perhaps some honey. Floral hops, light grass, very light citrus, and subtle bitterness.

Very disappointing beer. The ’extra’ applies to the color - which is way too pale/almost watery. Given it has the taste to match there is very little to recommend with this brew.

Draught at Tadgs. A bit of a disappointment. Extra pale and extra weak. Faint pissy hops, low carbonation, thin body. Looked ok in the glass but that’s about it. Might have been the way it was poured. I hope so.
