Pretty light and boring. Iíd never intentionally buy this but it was in a variety pack that had some other good stuff.

This is really nice effort for this style. Some hop aroma, medium to light mf. Really good for a light beer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours light golden. Notes of pale malt, bready, cookie, bitter resins. Medium bodied with a thin mostly receding wispy head.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Thin head on a hazy, medium straw colored body. Lots of bubbles coming up.
The aroma is rich malt with the slightest citrus.
Mild bitter start, medium malt sweetness in the middle, and a long dry bitter finish. Great balance and depth.
Smooth texture, moderate carbonation and medium body.
A better than average pale ale.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Golden color and looked unfiltered with a good forming head and good lacing. Good aroma and taste of hops. Good brew by Mad River.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottled. Poured medium golden with a short white head. The aroma picked up lemon zest and grassy notes over honey-kissed bread.. simple and clean. The flavor found lemon and floral notes over pale malt and lesser bread.. dry, grainy finish. Light-bodied and grainy.. ok feel and flow.. quite drinkable.

Not feeling this beer. Bland tart taste with a bit of ashes. Not at all what I expected. Would not buy again.
Maybe I got a bad bottle?

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: FEB 18, 2013 This is an excellent extra pale ale. It doesnít have a lot of aroma, but it does have a very smooth and subtle hop taste to it. Itís not too bitter and has a lot of body. It has a very thick body to it and I think it may have a lot of diacetyl that gives it a buttery sweetness that really balances out any bitterness from the hops. Also, there may be a lot of carapils in it. This is a great summer beer, but I wish it had just a bit more flavor to it.
It is pretty expensive. At $13/six pack in Pennsylvania, it is one of the most expensive beers Iíve seen, not including imperials or double IPAs that are typically sold in 4 packs. I like it a lot but at that price I wonít be buying it again. Iím not sure how an extra pale ale could cost so much.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear light orange with barely any lasting head. Aroma is very sweet and syrupy as well as slightly tangy, like apricots. The flavor is very similar to the aroma. There is essentially no bitterness to the this beer. The sweet fruit flavor envelops the palate and sticks for quite a while. Good beer, but a little too sweet for me.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
35,5 cl bottle @ hotel room. Portland
Aroma is malty with peach, apricot, pineapple and some hay. Flavour is sweetish with peach, hay and some hops. Not the most typical golden ale.
